The Deepings Lions Club would like to thank all the individuals and organisations who helped make our 2022 event a huge success. Explorer Scouts from Stamford & Bourne and Rutland Districts made the race possible by taking to their canoes and pushing the ducks downstream in the absence of current on the river. We were also helped by stewards from The Deepings Raft Race, Deeping United FC and The Deepings Rotary Club, and wives and husbands of some of our members were willing helpers. Apologies to anyone we’ve missed.
There was a good variety of stalls and children’s rides along Bridge Street, and Professor Diamond’s Punch & Judy Show drew excited crowds of children.
The charities sharing the profits this year will be MIND and Lions Brain Tumour Research.
